Our suppliers have just advised of a pending Steel Price Rise. Please see the information below:
"Over the last few months we’ve experienced significant price movements across a range of products and materials that make up a steel building kit. As a result we would like to advise you of the approximate price increase as per below which will result in a varied increase across our product range.
Zincalume® & Zinc Coated Products (Cladding, Flashings, Rainwater, Roller Doors, tophats etc)
Galvaspan® & Galvanised Products (Purlins, Galvanised Cladding and Flashings etc)
Truecore® Steel Products (Battens, PA Stud)
Polycarbonate, Fibreglass, Wonderglass, Ventilators
Accessories (Fasteners, Stopends, Gutter brackets, Nozzles, Downpipes, Aluminium Windows and Doors, Roller Door Motors etc)
Cold rolled structural steel (SHS, RHS)
Hot rolled structural (Universal beams/Columns, Channels etc)
This price increase is in addition to our increase effective 18th January 2021.
Ordering deadline to secure kits prior to the price increase will be Tuesday 23rd March 2021. (With increased volume of orders linked to the price increase, please be aware that lead-times may be extended. The sooner you have orders placed, the greater chance of receiving your orders within the current lead-times stated below for each range)
Eco: 8-9 Weeks
Enduro: 8-9 Weeks
Sturdy: 8-9 Weeks
Solid: 9-10 Weeks"
For our current clients that have Building Permits in progress or lodged, we expect that your permit will be completed to a stage to order your materials to beat the price rise.
For D.I.Y clients, the sooner you finliase your design, the sooner we can 'lock' the price by proceeding to order.
Contact us for any questions regarding this.

Like a lot of business operations, 2020 has shown that some things can be done differently. 80% of our administration and business operations are able to be completed in a modern home office environment. With current mobile technology, & email used for almost 100% of new quotes, it has been a year to look at all aspects of this operation.
Site specific visits for projects are a standard procedure, all using C-19 protocols.
For a number of reasons, Gippsland Garages & Sheds are in the process of relocating to a more mobile and home office service environment.
All current contact details remain unchanged, and the network has been connected to the new admin site. There has been some network during this transition, and there may be further disruption through until Mid October.
Any updates will be posted here.
Thank you to the current clients for their patience and understanding.
For any new quote inquiries, please use the online form from the website, or email to [email protected]

Dear Valued Customer
RE: STEEL PRICE INCREASE, EFFECTIVE 16th OCTOBER 2016
We have recently been advised of a steel price increase by our suppliers, regretfully the increase is larger than we can absorb. The overall price change will be approximately 5.5%.
This price change will affect all orders received on or after the 14th October 2016.
Note: The ‘Valid Until Date’ automatically generated on our quotes will diminish from 28 days as we approach the 14th October 2016.
We take this opportunity to thank you for your business to date, and ensure you of our continued support.

One of the biggest changes to the Building Act (which covers and includes works relating to steel garage and shed buildings) comes into effect today 1st September 2016. As a HIA member and Registered Building Practitioner i have attended training and information on these changes. In the short term I have attached a link to the relevant Victorian Building Authority Pages HERE.
Importantly these changes don't just apply to Registered Building Practitioner works, but also highlight further the differences and responsibilities of applying for works as An Owner Builder when building a garage or shed.
Please contact us HERE or phone 03 56721 327 should you require any further information regarding these changes.

To clarify and expand on the previous Blog regarding our supplier network. Gippsland Garages & Sheds have been using Aline Building Systems as our core building supplier for over 2 years. We support our past clients who received Sidach and VIP range buildings with our usual after sales service and support, however, we have not had any business, financial or working relationship with Sidach National, Sidach or VIP Sheds since our supply relationship with Aline began. For people affected by the Sidach & VIP Sheds failure or anyone who has concerns about our supply of Sidach or VIP products in the past, you are welcome to contact me direct on 03 5672 1327. We sympathize with those affected, however, there will be zero tolerance of any occurrence of harassment of myself or family from those people who (irrationally) intend to link or associate my business in any way with Sidach or VIP. Our ACL and ACCC guidelines and legal rights are clear on this, and will be invoked via our HIA supported Legal team as required. This includes, but is not limited to comments on social media (PDF Detail HERE). Thank You.

While there are many garage and shed suppliers in the industry, i have hand picked our main supplier network based on a couple of simple principles:
Our current supply network are stable companies with long term objectives when it comes to the supply of quality steel buildings.
At Gippsland Garages & Sheds, we share these same values & objectives.
You are welcome to contact me direct on 03 5672 1327 should you require any further details or information regarding the current suppliers of Gippsland Garages & Sheds, Wonthaggi

We are proud to announce that effective from April 2014, we have been able to secure a new and unique supplier arrangement. This effectivley & efficiently expands our building kit supplier network. It means we can now source our quality steel buildings from four independant supplier partners. These suppliers buildings all meet stringent quality and engineering requirements that meet or exceed the demands of our harsh, coastel environment.
This could be compared to 'broking' for our clients the best solution for their building kit,
based specifically on their requirements but with additional focus on budget.
It makes sense that everyone wants the "best" building that their money can buy, and maximum 'bang for buck' or return on investment. With the rise of 'online only' building kit businesses, it highlights the gap between a premium, (EG Bluescope/One Steel/Australian Made, heavy duty) building kit and the more budget focussed products.
To make an automotive analogy, its is not ideal to sell only Mercedes models when many in the consumer market understand that a Holden, Ford or Toyota are a highly regarded option!
We are aimed at supplying our buildings to the consumer who understands the longer term value of quality. We will not be utelising inferior imported steel, or cutting back on engineering design and strength.
As the saying goes "The bitter taste of poor quality lingers long after the sweet taste of low price is forgotten"
Our values are simple: Offer a range of quality options, with transparent explanation of the differences between them so that a client can make an informed decision.
We welcome any feedback or suggestions, thank you.
